Many caregivers have told us about the struggle for consistent work, livable wages, and flexibility in the caregiving profession. We know our local caregivers are an important part of our community’s fabric: they are parents, neighbors, coaches, a source of caring connection for our aging residents, and so much more. Home care cooperatives are known to be effective in rural communities like ours, and this presentation is our first learning opportunity. We will hear about successful models that have increased pay, brought caregivers more flexibility and reliability in their work, strengthened peer support, and provided Continuing Education opportunities. Caregivers, we hope you can join us!
